I am a PI on a NERC funded Knowledge Transfer project, joint with Univ. Leeds, the Rutherford Appleton Lab. and the UK Met. Office to develop and integrate the IUPAC kinetic data and Master Chemical Mechanism websites. Dr Hannah Barjat is employed on the contract and we are implementing the IUPAC database in XML to enable us to provide more facilities such as searching and better integration with numerical models. We have also been awarded a small grant from the NERC eScience Centre for a working group on providing kinetic data via web2.0 technologies.
